Bill Watson has been awarded by the Kentucky Center for the Performing Artist in Louisville, Kentucky the
ARTS EDUCATION SHOWCASE 2009 STORYTELLER,
Kentucky Education Television videoed a 7 minute segment of My Name's James before a live 5th grade student audience in March, 2009. This is made available to all public school teachers in Kentucky so they can see if they want to bring Bill to their schools for a performance. His portrayal of a old surviving Civil War Confederate solider meets the Core Content objectives for both History and Drama for 5th through 12th grades. "A Confederate soldier. James, made an appearance at Fleming County Library on November, 13, 2008 and the crowd was mesmerized by his account of his fighting in the Civil War. We were honored to have a group of Civil War Reenactors attend this performance and I think they were very impressed. Bill Watson is a wonderful performer and worth every penny.
